I have a 1970 Ford F100 with a 429 and C6 trans. Just bought the truck in February. I haven't looked at the casting numbers on the block to see what year the engine is from.
Purchased a high torque starter, but haven't installed it yet. Top bolt holding the starter comes from the rear. Are all 429s like this? Looks like I will have to lower the exhaust to get to the bolt head.
