That girdle looks to be held in place with studs ... does anybody use studs on the angled main outer locations...?

Would be impossible to get the caps on with studs canted inwards unless you screw them in as you are installing the caps which would be a major PITA !!!

Yep didnt realize the outside bolts were machined on those at angles, but would make sense there wouldn't be studs on those. Thank you

Bruno,
Now that ARP has gone to a small allen hex in the end of their studs , "some" builders have been using studs on the splayed bolt caps. Especially on aluminum blocks.
