2006 Mustang smokes Empty 2006 Mustang smokes

Post  jasonf December 29th 2009, 10:43 pm

When I start my wifes 06 Mustang up it blows out a bunch of blue smoke. It only has 37k miles but it has been doing of for the last couple months. Is this a common thing with the 3V 4.6's? The car has been running good with no drive train problems. Now I would like to shoot the ass that designed these windows to drop down when you open the door. We have always had problems with it not closing properly. Evil or Very Mad

Kind of wonder if it's a Intake issue.. Lot of the 4.6's I've worked on all had some oil coating in the intake from the PCV system. Maybe the PCV vlave is not fuctioning properly. Also no oil comption was posted.. I guess it's common for 1 qt @ 1500 miles.. Try a different oil?

We usually have it changed at the dealership other than a couple of times. But I will have to try that next time.

My 06 f-150 and my wife's 09 expedition does the same thing. Not all the time, but some of the time. I think it is normal.
