I ran 28x10.5 MT for a long time on 10 in wheels and I know a guy running 29.5x10.50's but he did a lot of hammer work and trimmed the fender openings just as if he was minitubbing it and running that tall tire.

So 28X10 to 10.5
How tight of a fit is that?

28 x 10 under our 81, a good bit of hammer work but they fit...........no notching or welding.....yet.

Where exactly do you do the hammer work at? Is it on the quarter pannel or the inner fender?

28x10.5S are a pretty tight fit but fit nonetheless.

This is with 28x10.5 S tires on a 10 inch wheel. They would rub on the stock springs and in the front/rear lower fender area. We also noticed that if you turned too hard on the return road that it would rub on the inner fender too.

We wanted a ton of room so we did the mini-tub. Wolfe RaceCraft. We did it ourselves in the garage. Plus it lightened the rear about 40lbs.

What weel back spacing and width are you using to get 10.5's under a fox mustang?

the ones in the picture above are Holeshot Holestars 15x10 with a 6 7/8th backspace on a stock width rear.

I've used a 28 10.5 slick on a 10inch wheel with a 6 1/2 BS with no problems just make sure you do a little hammer work to the inside. On a 8 inch wheel I've used a 5 1/2 BS
