Fuse box. How to replace it? Empty Fuse box. How to replace it?

I don't know if this is in the right section but I want to know something.

My fuel needle on my dash cluster goes up to the Empty line and stays there-even if I put gas in my truck.

Well I thought it could be the sending unit but I checked my fuse box and in the Aux fuel fuse area....there is no fuse nor is there the bottom clamp to hold the fuse in.

So I have another 1979 Ford f150 with a good fuse box.

How will you have to go along and change fuse boxes? Do you have to run down all the wires or just unplug it from somewhere?

Make sure your fuel tank is well grounded to the chassis. Years of corrosion and crud between the tank and the frame will eventually make for a very poor ground, making your sender useless. I've had the same problem with lots of old Fords. You don't have to pull the tank......Just attach a wire from the flange of the tank to the frame and see if it helps. Might work, might not.....easy to do.
