Needed, 2 - Pistons , FE

Post  posford on June 6th 2010, 5:18 pm

I'm in need of 2 - .030 over OEM type, flattop w/4 reliefs, pistons for a 360 FE. Don't need new, throwing together a "cheap" 360 FE to truck pull a couple times this season.

I might have some 360 stuff kicking around back in my old stomping grounds
I know i had a set or 2 of 390 "gt" pistons.......and a crank. But all of it will have been in storage for a while. So who knows on condition or if someone else helped themselves.

Edit: forgot to mention i'm not going back there till the end of June and coming back in early-mid July.

Thanks, but I'm hoping to have it running by the end of June.

Yes the 390 "car" pistons are the same as the 360 truck pistons. I don't want to spend much on this engine as I'm saving up to build a "real FE" for the puller.I have the complete top end ... 1050 dommy, Victor intake, Worked over Edelbrock heads, & roller rockers. My present 360 cost me $11 , engine was free, $6 for freeze plugs & $5 for a tube of silicone, I used all used gaskets, yup, even the head gaskets, and it doesn't hardly leak but I think it's got broken rings on cyl #3, smokes a bit and #3 plug fouls (oil). Just lookin' for 2 pistons so I can throw the ol' 396 together to have some fun and "stay in the game" this year. I'll even pay for 2 pistons. LOL.
