Our GPS quit working last month so before we went on our trip to Florida the wife went and bought another Garmin. Needless to say it died on the way home 8 days later. Sears and Best Buy were having a contest to win a GPS so she went down and entered at both places. Last Friday she got a call from Sears that she had one the GPS. Then on monday she got another call about winning the GPS at Best Buy so needless to say she went and bought a powerball ticket.

I would not have another GARMIN if they gave it to me I have one a few years old and it took a dump shortly after I bought, it sent it back in they fixed it... got it back and with in a few months it took another Crap.... Now I have a $800 dollar POS.. so the wife went and bought a TomTom $120 works like a champ...

so if you need one buy a Tom Tom reasonable priced and work fantastic....

You don't have to spend lots to get a crappy Garmin - I bought one at Canadian Tire on sale for $139 and it's a POS. Won't turn on half the time, and it's not the brightest GPS ever made. We were in Ontario CA in Feb, typed in Hollywood, and it didn't have a clue. Maybe I'm used to Google - it at least tries to figure out what you want.

Our last one worked well and lasted 3 or 4 years but the new one we bought was late on the turns all the time and just a general POS.

Jason get a TomTom you won't be sorry....

The otrher thing about a Garmin is you have to download states you want and some are special payed for so the Tom Tom goes anywhere

it even has a lot of the oilfield roads around here on it. and you can access 429-460.com anywhere!
