Ring Gap
Hello fella's,
Finally doing my engine assembly and need advice on ring gaps.
Pistons are JE 2618 with low tension ring set
JE recommends for Drag Race 1st ring .0055 / inch 2nd ring .0057/inch
Nitrous only 1st ring .0070 /inch 2nd ring .0065/inch
So that gives 1st .024 and 2nd .025 drag race & 1st .031 and 2nd .029 Nitrous
I wanted to be able to run a small shot of Nitrous at some point maybe a 250 hit.
I was going to go in the middle with .026-27 top and 2nd at .026-27
Do these end gaps seem too loose or are they okay
Details
Mudrace only
557"
4.44" bore x 4.5" stroke
14-1 w/fully ported Iron CJ's
Soild roller spinning fr/6000-7200rpm or so.
Thanks Mark

Re: Ring Gap
Don't sound out of line to me, Looser is better than too tight in the case of ring gaps.
