Cool car

I know everyone has seen this car but, isn't this just one of the coolest Mavericks ever?

I took pictures of it and checked it out when it was here at my track. I really wanted Don and Jack Roush's signatures on my hat. They bith dress the same and wear the same kind of hat, its weird. I guess they are long time friends.

Not only the car,Don is a pretty cool guy himself. Talked to him some at the Winter tech seminar.He lights up when you ask him about his rides. One hellava good Stick shift driver too, even if he is in his 70's

I kind of missed this one to get the picture, it got higher but I didn't get to see the whole launch because of taking the picture.

I'd like to meet both of them.

Yep, we've even talked to the Rage wrap guys after seeing that car. I just wish we could get ONE sponsor to help with our ride.

O'boro to Willow run.....Willow run to Livonia....Livonia to Milan.....Milan to Livonia....take engine/trans. out of car.....back to Willow run.....back to O'boro...all in ONE DAY!
We were eating microwaved hotdogs at the track and quarter pounders in the van on the way back to willow run.....home cooking would have been nice but it was fun never the less.

...and then back in time to thrash my new BBF one last time before I took it home with me... (I told you, ya shoulda just threw my engine in the plane with you!)

Oh so you were helping Don tune it. I was thinking, why the heck would you come all the way up here just for tuning? But now I know. That thing will pull the wheels on some runs, its got power! Some of you might not know but my first favorite car was/is a 70-72 maverick. So I like it that much more, but now (sort of) my all time favorite is kind of a tough one to get. A 48 Anglia with a 3 slot grill.

EDIT-not to mention how light they both are, I could push my maverick around town all day if I wanted to.

Only thing that is really a pain with the Anglia is all the wood.

Yes they are. Never met Jack but Don is super nice. He was at the Bash a few years back and talking to him about all of the testing he does for Rousch on his cars was a blast. Lots of stories for sure. He's a very down to earth guy...
