ESPN..... STILL SUCKIN'......!!!

Good 'ol ESPN. Gotta put off drag racing for some STUPID softball game! The game went into rain delay, so they switched over to a game that was played YESTERDAY! I know it don't change anything, but I had to rant.

Not on here, its raining and everytime it rains this pos directv goes off except for one local. Fog, off, rain, off, cloudy, off, high humidity, pops, skips, goes off and on.

Unlike our sport they only require ONE ball. I meant hardball as in I mess with people. I hate the other sports, just boring as heck to me.

It was bad enough to delay NHRA coverage for a live softball game, but they even stayed at the softball game during a long rain delay. I used to figure that NHRA needed a new TV contract, but now NHRA is getting so lame that I really don't care if they cover it or not! I wish there was better coverage of ADRL, NMCA and NMRA events. At least with those sanctioning bodies you get to see real drag racing not just all sponsor hype and behind the scenes drama and BS that ESPN airs.

I played college football, and it payed for my education and allows me to earn the money to do what I do now so it has a dear place in my heart, but motorsports coverage is woefully neglected anymore, and unfortunately I dont see it getting any better. Does anybody remember Wide World of Sports when they used to cover motorsports such as swamb buggy races, truck pulls, and off road racing. Hell I dont even know if they cover the Baja anymore.

I played very little when I was 10 yrs old and below. One of my brothers however played for the Oakland raiders and the NY Giants back in the 60s. I turned on the TV one time and saw him, but I wouldnt put forth the effort to walk across a road and get in free to watch a football game. I have a little saying, if it aint got wheels, I aint interested.

This same brother lives in Lexington SC now, (so does my Dad and two other brothers), and his Freightliner is broken down here in Miss. right now at the Freightliner/ Cat dealer. He has a SLM dirt car, has not raced in 5 yrs due to a bout with cancer. All of us either raced or had something to do with racing. I am the only one who drag races and runs Fords. But then I was brought up in Miss. and they in SC. He and his son and daughters all like the one ball stuff.
