Depending on the cam you can have it reground and made bigger. You can't change the lobe sep but lift and duration can be changed.

The cam may be softer after regrind....heat treat gone.

Most of the time a cam can be reground to new specs, bigger smaller etc. You will be somewhat limited to what can be done and you won't be able to change the lobe separation by more than a few degrees, usually. I've had cams reground quite a few times flat tappet as well as roller and I've never had a problem.
