balanceing ? Empty balanceing ?

i have a set of eagle rods that i bought used that are balanced. i also bought a used rotating assembly with forged pistons that have stock rods with arp bolts that are also balanced. can i use the eagle rods with forged pistons or will i need to have them rebalanced. thanks

Take everything to your local machine shop of choice and have it checked. If the total weight of the eagle rods and the stock rods are close and if the big end weight of the rods is also close then you may get lucky and be able to use them with out rebalancing the crank. Takes a pro with a scale to figure it out.

Although the Eagle rods are balanced to each other as a set, they are different weights than the "production" rods.
The crank will need to be rebalanced to the new weights being used so, the final bob weight will differ between the two different sets..
