Post  cool40 September 12th 2010, 10:55 pm

i hate to say that i have never used the one piece pan gasket before on a 460.when i ordered some parts from Lem a few weeks ago i asked for pan gasket.i got a ford racing one piece deal and had to open up the holes in the ends a little for the big bolts.WOW! that gasket is the shit boys! it fit, dont leak, didnt put one drop of nothing on it anywhere and will never use anything else.if somebody reads this and have'nt used one yet,GET ONE! i may be the only dumb ass here that hasnt used one. Laughing thanks Lem Very Happy

Its the only oil pan gasket I would use. Other than opening up the bolt holes its great. Simple as sunshine, and reusable as long as it doesnt get pinched. Great piece.

so no rtv or anything with the front and rear seals?
what did you torque the bolts to? or do they have torque limiters on the gasket?
Thanks

I use a unibit, just becareful, cut slowly so you don't tear the metal inserts out.

If you order a milidon gasket, the holes are the right size, don't have to open the holes.
