What year block is best for a stroker
I have read on here which block is best to use for a big stroker kit, but can't find it now. What stock block is best for a 4.5 crank and 6.7 rods?

Thanks for the offer, but I have a D9 block, a D1 block, and access to some FI blocks if they are better.

1970 or 1971 holds pretty good. I know people making pretty good power with these blocks all on 2 bolt mains.

D9 has the longer bores, better choice for 4.5 strokers.

Is their any grinding to do for clearance on the bottom of the piston bore with the D9 block and the 4.5 crank?

No Grinding required.
