557 P-51 headed motor

557 P-51 headed motor. This is the motor that was in the wife's dragster. It went a best of 4.99 @136 at 1850lbs. Plenty left in motor,as we were fighting "new car" blues..

Eliminator "sportsman" block, bored to .080" over
Probe 4.500" forged crank, C&A 'H" beam rods , 6.8" length
Probe Flat -top pistons, 12.5 CR
Kaase P-51 heads, ported and worked by Charlie Evans,Jomar stud girdle, Header adapter plates
FRPP version of the "Victor" intake, Massaged by Charlie Evans
Comp roller cam and roller lifters
Kaase oil pump, Moroso "Chassis" car pan and pickup
MSD distrib, FRPP balancer

Motor has one of Paul Kane's timing covers, will change it if needed

Motor has 22 1/8 mile passes and 2 1/4 mile passes on it. I was in my wife's dragster until recently. Her car / this motor not raced much as we couldn't afford to run 2 cars.

Hey guys,

This engine is a very good piece. I am sure it makes well over 900 Hp and I know the P-51 heads flow with the best of them. If anybody needs the flow numbers, I'm sure Mike won't mind me giving them to you if you PM me.

Notice in the picture on the right hand side, cylinder #5 you can see a set of my header adapters that go from the Ford pattern to the BB Chevy pattern. Those headers are a set of Fab Shop downsweep A-460 headers (with the BB Chevy bolt pattern) that Mikey got from Phillip Oakley who is a Fab Shop dealer. Whether or not the headers are for sale, I do not know. Mikey will be around later and can answer that.
