Need help swapping a Q-Stick shifter from 3 speed to a 2 speed...

I have a Q-stick II shifter that was recently used on a 3 speed and I need to use it on a 2 speed. The block plate (whatever Hurst calls it) has been long gone...

Anybody ever fab up their own piece to stick in there to keep the shifter from sliding back into the "low" postion?

Makes sense, but I'd be buying the same damn shifter again! The part number for a glide and/or 3 speed is the same. The Hurst instructions state that all Q-sticks come setup for a 2 speed and you need to remove a plate to switch it to a 3 speed. I just need that plate...

If someone has that plate laying around I'd pay a few bucks for it...

I have B&M's Pro Stick (equivalent to the Q-Stick), and there are "gate plates" available to change to whatever trans you have.. Not too long ago I picked up a reverse pattern C6 plate for a couple bucks. Looking at Hurst's website briefly, I didn't see any sort of similar option...

There isn't a gate plate to switch from a Turbo to a Glide. Just have to remove or install an "Adapter Block" to go between a Turbo or Glide setup. This block locks out the ability to stick the shifter in what would essentially be the Turbo's low gear detent when using it on a Glide.

I need Hurst part number 112 0008. I can't find it available anywhere. I realize you would only get it if you bought the shifter and used it on a Turbo trans. Not liklely on a Ford site. Just trying to save $250.

I'll have to call Hurst tomorrow to see if I can buy just that one part. It's not available on their online store though...

We ended up buying the "block adapter" from Hurst that blocks out the "low" gear detent to allow just 2 forward gear detents. This one is a Q-Stick II. All it needed was this little adapter. I'm not sure if the others need a new gate plate or not. You may want to check. We can swap this one from a 2 spd to a 3 spd in minutes if need be.
