*new set-up 521 to 562*
well originally i took a 521 a429 headed motor on trade and had to completly rebuild it. not something i wanted to do but since i had to rebuild it i basically started from scratch and pretty much upgraded everything.
engine:
A460 block bored to 4.560
4.3 scat 4340 crank
6.8 eagle H-beams L19 bolts
arias gas ported pistons
lem speced solid roller
danny bee
ati damper
crank trigger
billet fab two piece external wet sump pan
moroso mandrel and external pump
motorsport A429 heads 2.25/ 1.76
nex-tec springs
jesel pro series shaftmounts
7/16 cv pushrods
ported victor intake/ 1150 holley hp
hoping to have engine on dyno at the end of feb

Re: *new set-up 521 to 562*
my machinist suggested me to run GRP rods since the car is only going to be for track use. Is there a real advantage to aluminum rods. My plan is to build a bullet proof bottom end and upgrade my top end when i can. i really wanna run profiler heads because eventually i wanna make over 1000hp on motor.

well my pistons should be here in two weeks. i just was wondering if a 4.600 bore was too big for my old school A429 heads. But here are some pics of my pushrods and rockers

yeah if you look at the first pic of the block, on the second main web you can see where its a machined surface then there is a small dark spot. it seems like when the block came out of the casting mold it took some material but there is no cracks. its about the size of a quarter and about 1/16 deep. i guess im just overly picky about stuff i spend over two grand on lol i expect it to be perfect.
