what should the main studs be torqued to? Also, the block and caps show some fretting. Someone suggested I wipe some antisieze between them and torque them a little more. Sound ok?

i have to ask are you torquing them down as installing them in the block? or do you mean finish torque crank installed?

studs should be hand tight bottomed in block. i just want to make sure we were on same page.

as far as antisieze question..............NO!

They are used. I got them from Ladowski so I don't know what he torqued them to or with. I'll have to call and ask.

How will what was used before as lube affect them this time?

Not Kyle, but Cody. I got the entire shortblock from him. I do recall seeing some ARP lube on the studs when I disassembled it. The shortblock was ran in it's current form. We disassembled it at the Bash for inspection. I'm currently cleaning and reassembling it.

My best quess is 115-120 with 30-40 wt. oil and make sure the housing bore is in spec.
