79 ford f150 suspension

has anyone ever seen a 79 ford f150 with a twin I beam suspension under the frontend factory?????

All the 2-wheel drives in 79 are twin i-beam and 4-wheel drive are dana 44 solid front axle with coilsprings and radius arms except the f-150 supercab which is dana 44 solid front axle with leaf springs

IFS front differentials were not put in till 1980's body style trucks.

ok.. well if i where to find a stock 79 short box half ton 4x4 with a factory twin I beam it would be extreamly rare.... I Think i am going to go make him an offer on it.... this truck is stock... i love 80-86 ford's but this think is a true 79 completely stock and its in there... Its sorta sweet....!

Rare LOL. It sounds like a 80's chassis with a 79 body on it...or some one swaped the TTB into the 79.

It is a 79 body on an 80's model frame. because Ford didnt build ifs trucks till 1980

pre 1980 = solid axle, 80+ = TTB. And I would not buy it. the TTB is kinda weak.

I don't agree at all. The TTB has taken all my 552 has put out and never once gave up. Heck I've even got the stock lockout hubs on it still. The axles are the same as a D44, and the center carrier is a D44. Darn good front axles in my opinion. Are there better ones? Yes. Cool

LOL @ "rare"... It is not rare, it is someones project at one time or another. or may be he thinks it is a '79 and it is an '80+. Just because someone says something is "stock" doesn't mean anything. Chances are, he bought it that way so he THINKS it is stock and that's what he is telling you.
