converter pilot bushing

Post  8liter on February 15th 2011, 2:20 pm

Who makes a ring to go around the converter pilot to go from 1.375 to 1.850. The converter I have doesn't have the wider pilot near the face of the converter.

You didn't catch what I meant, I didn't want to vollunteer him for anything, he made one for me worked like a glove, had to grind the snout about 1/32, and that was it.

Whats up 8liter? I made one for Harold I guess it fit. I bought one for my glide to 1.375 crank from Jegs JW made it I made Harlods from and piece of bronze I think. All it is is a spacer need to make it about a .001 larger that the crank ID and make the ID of spacer .004/.003 larger than pilot on converter. I made Harolds a little long cause I didn't have his crank or conver anybody with a lathe and material could make one. Make a little long to trim to the length you want.
