Boss 429 questions

Guys I have a friend who is putting together a Boss 557 with a blower for a guy and he needs a couple parts and questions answered. If you can just reply to the post I will forward the answers. Thanks Tore

Water manifold kit for Boss 429 - connects into the front of the
heads and tee's into the upper radiator hose / All the NASCAR 429 engines
had this arrangement, so there must be some out there from somebody

2) I have the small diameter MSD distributor(429/460/351C) , but may need
a crab type cap arrangement for clearance with the BDS blower snout does
MSD make a special cap for this application ? Can this be done without
using the trigger up front of the engine ? See if anyone has anything .
I would like to use the present distributor, but may not clear .

In regards to question #2. To the best of my knowledge, there is no crab cap available that will fit the MSD small diameter distributor housing. There are several different height distributors from both MSD and Ford Motorcraft that will fit, just make sure that the proper dist. gear for the 429-460 is on the distributor.

I make an adapter in order to use the Mallory crab cap on the Ford Motorcraft distributors and that may be an option for your friend.

Theirs a Boss 9 guy in Spokane Washington that may have the Water kit your looking for.... I'll look for a link. if not have you looked at the ones for Cleveland / SVO heads from companies like CHI?
