stage stacking

Post  quick 52 on March 23rd 2011, 7:57 pm

would like to run 2 stages thru a "Y" in a cheater plate. stage 1 50hp 37n 37f stage 2 100hp. but dont know what jets are needed for a total 150hp. nos said the dual shot "Y" are used in a stage 1 on stage 2 on stage1 off set up. but you can push both stages thru a "Y" but is very hard to tune for

The Y fitting in the line will not change the tuneups if you are feeding to the y then lines from y to plates, stacking the plates with the recomended 50 and 50 should net over 125hp but the square tuneups the plate come with are going to be way too rich. What type of motor? what Compression/ what are the ring gaps set at? What are the cam specs? cranking compression? Base Timing? What Heads? What Fuel? What Plugs?

alot of information needed.

Good Luck

there is an old saying you don't have money to do it right, but you have the money to do it twice!

i think if you are running the factory jettings for the super power shot you where leaving some on the table. also you have alot of work to do with your suspension before you should try any more jet, and as the coug said you may be spending alot later on by trying to push to much into your set up. if it was me and i had a NOS Cheater plate i would start with the smallest N20 jet in the kit and try to clean the plug by taking fuel jet away from it. but you need to get the truck to hook before you try more jet.

i am pretty sure they are talking about the fuel regulator, most of the time these are the common terms

selonoid fuel or n20
distribuition block fuel or n20 usually used on fogger n20 systems with one large inlet and 4 smaller outlets

regulator fuel only usally a holley part number 803
fuel log a long piece of alumunuim with multiple ports for regulators usually more than one holley 803 mounted

i got kinda confused when you said mounting to the nos fuel log to me this would mean you where mounting the seperate holley 803 for the fuel side of the nitrous to the valve cover? most nitrous cars have the fuel log mounted in front of the front motor plate or front of timing chain cover with multiple holley 803 regulators and just run seperate line for each plate or fogger, this allows for flowing each regulator for each plate or fogger, then the N20 LINE comes in from the back of the motor from inside the car/truck with a Y fitting or what they call a shower head that has one line going in and multiple n20 lines coming out to feed the plates or fogger.

Do you have any pictures?
