Gonna try for the 9s this sunday

its the 3rd annual ford show and showdown this sunday the 6th at U.S.13 dragway in Delmar,DE the last time i sprayed it a few months ago with a 125 shot it went 10.18 @ 131mph and 6.47 in the 1/8 @ 107 and it ran out of steam at 5800rpm before the stripe with the 850dp i was using now that i put the 950 on it pulls past 6k no problem so a 9 sec run i hope if i need to pump her up to a 150 shot im doing it i know there gonna call me to the tower cause i dont have a 9 sec license yet but this will give me a reason to get it and i havent put in the new 4000 stall yet i bought last month im still using the tci 11' breakaway that i cant footbrake over 1500 rpm so thats next with some spray too

Not that i know of they have low spots here and there but you can driver over them no problem they might have been ditches a long time ago like you said but not that i have seen.

Well didnt even get to try yesterday my belts expired in august and the tech man said not gonna happin its my fault for not checking them i was surprized he didnt let me slide this time being i never have any issues and have been racing there since 95 but rules are rules after i got my money back and started suckin down some suds Melvin (514fox) heard about it and offered up his belts from the passenger side for me to use(thanks Mel) (band of brothers thing again ) but i already had it in my head it was a wash for the day so next sunday its on again.

Yeah cant wait either i ordered the belts yesterday so i hope its good weither on sunday so i can try it. Also this week im starting to put the 302 toghether for my 76 cobra 2 with the kaase heads i've had new in the box for 5 years now when thats finished the the heads on my 472 are getting yanked so they can be machined for the pc seals so i can put the right springs on then port matched and flowed so i can pick a cam then put that back toghether with my new 4000 stall i bought a while ago and go for the 9s all motor the best ever all motor was a 10.57 @ 128 mph with a 1.48 60' leavin at 1500 rpm footbrakin any higher it would push over the line so the 4k stall over the tci 11'' breakaway is gonna be a big diffrence then when its finaly 9s all motor its gettin the crap sprayed out of it again

Now that the engine is loosening up a bit, it seems to be making more power. I predict a 9 second time slip for Chuck within the next month

Well didnt make it into the 9s yesterday but came close with a 10.094@132.19mph with a 1.412 60' and 6.412@107.29 in the 1/8 mile spinning off the line it wasent real good traction for anybody yesterday it still lays down before the stripe right at 6k the 2nd run spun even worse and ran a 10.369@128.53mph and had a 1.440 60' so after the two time runs i took the nitrous off and gave it my best guess for a dial and won 1st round then won 2nd round and lost in 3rd due to my crummy .127 lite runnin a 10.930 on a 10.92 dial the other guy ran a 11.588 on a 11.53 dial but had a .031 lite but all in all it was a good day one things for sure i like the big block car all motor now i got to try for the 9s all motor the nitrous can stay on the cobra two.
