Nick, Bobby Anthony and Ward will probably hit I-65 around Cullman. I usually meet them at the Priceville(Decatur) exit and eat breakfast. David Cole will probably be following me, as he lives just 30 miles down the road.

I've never been there, but aren't there a few dragsters that have run close to that at Windy? Door car, dragster??? 4.40 is a 4.40 I would think. Make sure your brakes are good and have your chute packed. You're golden. Very Happy

Think again ...a dragster can run that speed alot safer because of their wheelbase and weight .Either one is flat out flying. I've seen Phillip go into the 40's there before in his dragster. I've seen a funny car bust a 3.97 once if my memory serves me right...I don't care where you are or what you drive ,a mid 4 pass is FAST!!

Reeeeeeaaaally!? Shocked I'm very aware of the specifics. I've seen door cars run mid-4's on our 1/8 mile, and I guarantee it's not near as good of a track as Windy. Probably the same short shutdown, and like I said, I've never been to Windy, but "IF" I had a car capable of such feats, I'd run it there, or anywhere. Well, almost. Not that Mexican track... Laughing Laughing If the car is equipped to run it, & they all use chutes, and don't have any problems, why wouldn't they be able to run @ Windy or any other decent facility...?

I've raced at Windy since the mid 70's ....Bring a 4.40 car to the Bash. Then come tell me about it after you make a pass. Then watch Bobby Small or Phillip make a 4.40 pass and tell which one goes down it better??? Shocked Shocked

To me it seems as though it's not a question of whether or not it can be run but, whether he can STOP it.

without a doubt holding the power will be a non issue, but you better be hangin chutes before the stripe if the car is not real light, and even then it would be a good idea..................lol

I would throw the laundry and just to be safe, take a nice BBW that isn't into butt floss out to dinner the night before just as an added measure!! Maybe she'd leave you her draws Razz No such thing as too much material trying to stop 3300lbs @180 there. We know it'll stick but them binders are gonna get a workout!!

At any short shutdown track,If I get a 4.40 sec. door car down to the stripe,my biggest scarry concern would be "Am I gonna get this bitch stopped" affraid
