Post  dfree383 on April 18th 2011, 10:55 am

Looking for some Ideas for the Suspension on my 1970 Cyclone.

Going to keep the Leaf Springs and Stock Front Stuff.

What Shocks work? What Leaf's? (One on the car are beat) Bars? Bushings?

I have Cal-trac Mono Leafs on the back with their bars, Rancho adj shocks, 6 cylinder springs up front with a 90-10 shock. I had 60 fts 1.42-1.43 with my Torino.

I ran just about what tore runs in my 70 Mec Cyclone I had a local spring shop build me some rears cause I kept breaking OE peices. Put some extra half leaf towards
the front and clamped the springs together. Got that fixed and started shearing the wheel lugs (just a heads up) I had 60's real close to Tore's with a mild 466 @ 4200lbs w driver went 12.14 1/4 mile[img][/img]

X2 on the Rancho RS 9000 rears Dave. Just find one that's the same extended length as yours for the Cyclone. You probably knew that though... Laughing Wink

I have caltracs, rs9000's in the rear, calvert 90/10's w/moroso trick front springs. Thinking about going over to the calvert split leaf monos. So Far I'm VERY pleased with how well my car hooks.

I also know of a caltrac-like bar called "assassin bars". They are a bit more adjustable than the caltracs. I do not know if that equates to a better setup.
