do you need to apply sealant to the threads before installing on a BBF?

No all the holes are blind, just put a little 30wt oil on them.

no use good lubricant such as arp assembly lube on threads and torq per manufacture specs example arp head bolts follow their instructions, stock ford bolts follow manual
