For whats its worth.....

Jim is a great seller! Purchased a rear from him a year or so ago. Local pick up, answered every stupid question i had., was spotless, and he had paperwork from it!

If i had actual cash, I would be all over all of this

Are the heads the A429 SCJ version,or the new SCJ/P51 Valve layout?

The A429 were refered to as CJ. What he has is the FRPP SCJA [the flat tappet package heads] which we upgraded to a roller spring with much better specs than the FRPP SCJB heads. These are the 'new' style heads.

I'll take the pan and oil pump if it's a rear sump pan. The part number is showing a rear sump, but you typed it's a front sump. The pump is showing it's for a rear sump pan. If you can confirm the part number is M-6675-T460 "Rear" sump pan, and not a M-66765-T460F "Front" sump pan, I can drive from the Jersey Shore and meet up with you so you don't have to ship. This pan would be perfect for the 32 Coupe project, because I don't think the Canton deep front sump I have will give me a lot of clearance.

Lem or others, would this rear sump pan clear the Scat 4.30" stroke? I was also wondering if the m-6675-A460 rear sump pan would clear that same stroke crank, if the one for sale isn't a rear sump? I may ask this in a tech section thread if not answered here. Very Happy

FRPP used that pan on the 521" crate engines......so a 4.300" crank should not be an issue.

The A460 pan will 'work'. it'll be okay for a street rod but it is not what a racing engine needs.

That was quick Lem! Thank you so much for always helping! I hope he does have the rear sump, because Dad and I were just talking about this last week. We are going to need as much ground clearance as we can get, so this is the way to go. Smile

Stupid newbie question.... How much horsepower would you expect out of this combo with a GOOD carb?

Jim let me know that the pan is definitely a front sump pan. The oil pump he's selling has to be used with this pan, because a regular front sump pan pump won't work with the pickup needed. Because of this combo, I'm going to pass.

Not sure what it would have made but more than 500 I don't think would be a stretch...

I met up with Jim today and bought the oil pan, pickup, and pump. He's a great guy to deal with and his stuff was brand new in the box. Thanks again Jim, and good luck with the rest of the items for sale. Cool
