Yes.This one sits in the register,but requires a little machining on the web between the register and pan rails.No shims are needed like the cat brand.I haven't really started production on these parts yet.I'm trying to sweet talk my father in law into letting me come in to work after hours and run these parts.I work for him and it's his cnc equipment.I'm gonna try to keep the cost as low as I can on these.I ain't looking to get rich,just have some fun and help some people out with some good,quality parts.After I finish my car up(next year) I'm gonna pursue this a little more.

Just about ready to do a 4-bolt d-9 block with cat caps,but after seeing the pics of the caps that you have done,I'm thinking better of it, how much and when can I get a set. Thanks nice work

Coon caps,now that's funny.When I finish with my car over the winter months,we'll see about getting fired back up on making some more caps.Blake and I are gonna tear down all the 460 blocks we got and try to make the caps where they are block specific.I'm pretty sure all 460 blocks aren't the same,I just don't know how many different blocks there are.He's gotta have 30 engines laying around,so maybe we'll have all the ones we need LOL.---RED

No, I have not done anymore on this project.

What is the going cost for caps and have them installed ? Is there much difference of just buying a A460 block ?

Scat or Cat caps less than 100.00 a set, and 300-400 to install and line hone.

Higher end caps are about 300 - 400 a set plus the labor.

The Dove A factory blocks are cheaper to have installed than the D1 - D9 blocks.

The labor will be different depending on the shop.

I've seen and asked a coulple local shops, and have been told $250-400 ish for machining. That's supposed to be done and ready, but I haven't actually gone through with it.
