I run a Danny Bee belt drive on my 521. There were a few problems that I had to deal with. First problem was that the snout on the crankshaft was too big to fit in the lower pulley. I measured it and found out that the belt drive pulley was correct, but the crank was oversize. It wasn't possible to grind down the crank snout so I had to bore out the lower pulley.
Also ended up making my own TDC pointer. I had ATI move the TDC mark over to the driver's side and then fabricated a TDC pointer.
Last issue I had was that there was no easy way to remove the upper pulley from the cam. I had to design and fabricate a puller.
