I have a 351 windsor short-block (F4TE roller) from a 95 Lightning that I'd like to sell. It has 85k on it and ran perfect when i removed it.

Asking $500 obo

I prefer local pick-up on this, but I will ship to a business (w/ loading dock & fork-lift) or terminal for a flat rate anywhere in the cont US for $275

I'm not sure John. Work is kinda "iffy" right now.

I'll try to load some pics of it when I get home from work,.......

Or,.....they can be seen here,.....

Keith,

If it's still around and if you go to the race I'd be interested in it. That's a little out of my price range to ship and all. I'd really like a roller block setup for my Futura.

Keith,my son in law is looking to start a build for his 68 fb. Just curious the difference between that short block and a roller engine (HO) out of a 3/4 ton van or truck.

Rick,

As far as the differences go between a Lightning short-block and say one from a 3/4 ton, there's not any. The difference between the engines were in the camshaft, cylinder heads and intake manifold.

The 94-up motors (and some of the 93's,.....according to when they were manufactured) were "roller ready" The L engines never had a roller cam from the factory (flat tappett only), but the blocks with a casting code of F4TE were set-up to run a roller cam, if so desired. Meaning that the lifters bores were longer and the valley was already drilled & tapped for the hold down spyder.

Yep,.......sure is. Complete short-block.

I removed the camshaft & timing chain,.....that's all.
