580ci a460 head & a 460 block

The distributor is a msd 8580. and i need to lock it out. Im fixin to do a search on locking it out. If i cant find anything im gonna post in engine tech.

With the right compression,tune,enough fuel,that engine should bust more than a 1000 easy imo.

bbf-falcon, that's the kinda talk i like to hear. lol, but i tell ya, it dam sure sound like a lot horses. Hopefully everything is all good. I should have my tach by tuesday so i can get the timing and idle set.

Whith a housing like that they will build it any wany you want...Nice, The housing ends on the earlier picture has the Big Torino style ends with the more rectangular shape and with the triangles on the top and bottom...But the only way to know for sure is to measure it all the brake/axle manufactures should have the measurement chart for reference.

I need to ask a question about something that I don't know anything about.
The axle bearings for my M9, do they suppose to fit flush or do they suppose to protrude some/

Mine sticks out just a little I was told it was for keeping the bearing from walking in the housing my bearing is wider than the bearing cup on the housing by about 1/8''.

If you was running drum brakes the brake backing would take up some of the bearing that stick out I added a washer between the housing and thr retainer so mine only sticks out about a 1/16"

I got these disk brake brackets off of a 99 explorer and I need to know if a retainer has to be used with them. These brackets fit on the od of the bearing so I dont see how they suppose to hold the axles in.
Any help would be great.
