Are we talking about the chute pack mount, or the chute tether mount?

For the chute tether mount I usually prefer the style that just uses a simple piece of 1.75" OD round tubing for the "stub" (extension off of the rear chassis X-member) that has the chute tether end drilled for a sleeved bolt & fish mouthed top/bottom to increase the chute tether movement/clearance. With this method the single piece of 1.75" tubing is both the "stub" and the tether bracket as well. Another method that uses a formed/welded tether bracket assembly welded to the end of a slightly shorter tubing stub does allow greater chute tether clearance/movement. But this method also has a lot more welded joints involved in the design.


And as for the chute pack mounts, there are just so many different ways of doing them that no one design can be called the best.
