what is the best 4.500 stroke crankshaft money can buy i broke my crank in my 572 bbf
thanks for any help. and where to buy.

I'm sure there's going to be a ton of different opinions, but it's hard to beat a Bryant billet.

In billets he normally deals in SCAT, (U.S. Crankshaft), but, Crower and Bryant shafts also go through there.

it was a crankshaft specialties not sure what happen but will not by another one went to byrant

Guys ,found out the crankshaft was a crankshaft specialites in my motor ,it is a 572 cid with oviler rods venolia pistons spun #3 #7 rod bearings
the machine shop checked the crank out the rod journals were out 2-3 thousands out round and it messed all pistons and to rods a all the lifters up it is pretty munch junk can anybody tell me what would be the best lifters to purchase for this motor build. looking at cower hippo,morels made by callies or isky these are all mech roller.

you put together a shortblock , with a crank having .002 to .003 out-of-round rod pin ? OK

this was a brand new crankshaft when the motor was put together ,when you buy a brand new crankshaft should the rod journals be egged shaped that is what i meant this crankshaft was brand new in the box..

THANKX FOR THE THREAD.!. i broke mine (LA Billet) a coupla weeks ago, and cant bear to look at it yet. held up for (3) years in my 557. turns out, when ya break rear gears, you also take out the trans, and break the crank. Gee, who woulda thunk?
