Jason was asking if your distributor is out 180*. Pull the #1 spark plug and crank it over with your thumb over the spark plug hole. When the compression blows past your thumb, your at TDC on the comression stroke. Check on the balancer to get you around 12-14* BTDC. Put your dizzy in making sure the rotor in pointing to #1 terminal on the cap.

If you need 2 hands to turn the engine over just stick a small piece of paper in #1 and you will know when its on the C stroke. It will BF sometimes when its out just 1 tooth. I always slip the dizzy in when the mark is on 20*
