well heres my combo i will go detailed as possible any idea on car weight


88 mustang notchback llx

full 12 point c/m cage cert to 8.50s
mini tubbed 8.8 35 spline with baseline suspension
champion wheels
racecraft k member
racecraft drop spindles
strange coil overs up front
strange brakes in all 4 corners

5 gallon fuel cell

Powerglide stock case jw bell
2 aluminum kirkey seat
factory door panels and lightend up dash
factory carpet no rear seat that all tin now and insulation on floor has been scrapped off

factory crank doors have been gutted ,crash bars ect ...
car has all factory glass still

stock front and rear bumpers removed
shoeneck fiberglass hood also

iron head bbf with aluminum intake and pan .....gonna use motor plates and vac pump



THE question is or guess what should this weigh roughly without me ??? Question Question Question

was tossing the idea about putting a pro glass formed front and rear lexan window in ......but on the bullet Rolling Eyes they said weight savings vs cost not worth it

My car is similar to yours but I have a 9" rear and lexan front and rear windows and aluminum heads. My car is 2733 w/o me in it and 80 lbs of ballast in the back bumper. My aluminum heads were 85 lighter than my Doves.

so a safe bet would be around 3000 lbs with me in it

last time i weighed in around 175 , but im may be 185 for all i know lol

Mines a 85gt with iron heads,c6, factory k member and front suspension, 9in rear, kirkey seat, 4 point cage, all glass, power windows, carpet, summit star wheels. With me in race ready was 3345 friday night at the track. Gonna put hEro in it and see if we can get this turd lined out.

At 3345 I am guessing it is a hatchback? Gt's and hatchbacks do way a bit more. 2800-3000 sounds correct.

My back half 83 weighed 3085 with an A460 heads and A460 Block and my fat butt (250#) in it, Only fiberglass on it was the hood at that time.

It also has T-tops and the guts for the bumpers are removed.
