40 yrs. today

Today is my 40 year anniversary at the Papermill that i'm employed at. Seems like yesterday that I walked in w/my future father in Law and started sweeping floors and picking up loose sheets of paper from the floor. Started out making $3.20 hr. Still have 4 yrs. left. Ihave always appreciated my job. Went through a strike of 11 week in 1975. Other than that ,i've never been layed off or been off for any reason. I'm thankful for that.

Well, three more years , and you will pass me, I retired with 43yrs, two mos, that was after 4 and 1/2 years in military, congrats buddy, you will deserve the free time in sunny Fla.

I wont say how old I was when he started but I had been burning rubber for quite a few yrs by then.

Congrats Rick ,I done 20 years at a plant......Maybe I should've stayed ,but I hated 12 hour shifts and no days off for months at a time.You'll have lots of time to polish your "Showcar" in 4 years!! And plenty of time to suck some suds!!Maybe I'll be able to help you!!

A person works hard, does the right things, treats people right, and appreciates what he has, deserves to be blessed. Like attracts like, you have a beautiful wife and home and 200 friends at your hog roast. I was honored to be one of them .
