I take no credit in putting this together, I merely made some phone calls, ordered some parts, made suggestions etc. Our buddy Burt at Moore Machine did all the machine work and assy. He ported the heads also.

I did build the C6, thats about it.

no, the run stand yes.

Honestly the cam was specd for a 466, there were issues with the rotaing assy he had and had to buy pistons anyway, I had a crank and he had some rods so we went with it. Cars a heavy deal, this will scare ol Billy when he mashes the loud pedal...... torque from hell.......

he needed a couple things for it, I got him fixed up, should get it over here this week and if all goes well maybe here it run here soon.

all hooked up, ill piss the neighbors off tomorrow at noon.

well she runs......

ran it for a few minutes, then shut it off and pulled the valve cover to check and see if its oiling.......NOPE!

ran it a couple more times to see if it would, still nothing.

off comes the intake, pull lifters and remedy the situation, I had gaskets etc..... reassmble..... start it but no burnout...... sounds pissed off. pulled mufflers off to verify, yep very pissed off......

run stand worked flawless, other than a bad bg fuel press regulator, tossed it in the trashcan where all bg products belong and stuck a 803 holley on it........ dang sure easier to fix stuff not leaning over fenders etc.

no leaks, no odd noises, deal sounds real stout. My damn camera was dead but Billy took some pics and vids with his phone, I'll get um up when I can.

How did I ever live without a runstand all these years?

What did you find wrong with the lifters? Just had two do that to me on a small block 347 deal, took the two lifters apart and found the disc stuck.

solid roller, have no idea, lifter bores were honed,........too good of a fit I guess the oil couldnt get to the proximity hole or something.

Jon, let us know how the tall Motorsport valvecovers fit. We tried a set on the Falcon several years ago. They hit the master cylinder. I'm trying to come up with a good way to relocate it so I can use the pretty blue ones that Charlie did for my 533, which will be going in very soon. Heck, have him bring that beast up to US60 for the Bash so I can race someone my own size for once!

I just wish some people would ask before they use my parts on every Tom Dick and Harrys builds and or send my parts all around the country... oh nice headers, (forgot junk headers)
