I need to apoligize to all the veterans that crossed my path today that I unpurposly did not acknoledge. I didn't realize it was Veterans day until I picked up the Sunday paper tonight. I salute all men and women that has served our country in all ways. Thanks to you we are in a Truly blessed and Free country. Thanks and God Bless you all.

I agree with the above posts, and I also thank you all because I'm a vet. We have a duty to teach our children about the price that has been paid, by those before them.

IMO we need to remember all veterans in all of Americas wars. I took an ad out in todays newspaper honoring my third great grandfather, Benjamin Thomas Field who was a Captain in the Revolutionary War. He's buried about 10 miles from here, on an old family cemetery plot and I'm working to preserve his gravesite.

Uncle Charlie that is quite a bit of history in your family. I have had a family member in every war since WWII. I served during Desert Storm, but wasn't activated for it. We were all on pins and needles wondering if we would be sent over though. I served in the Nebraska National Guard in an Armor unit, and we were up to be activated if it would have lasted very long. The man who was my platoon seargent did two tours in Nam, and two in the sand box recently. A true American Hero for sure.
