Add-a-leafs on my 95 F350 Empty Add-a-leafs on my 95 F350

Just put a set of Rough Country 2" AAL's on the front of my 95 crew cab. This is the third set I've bought from RC - I think they're a good deal and overall do what I expect. This set was different, though. The new leaf only touches the factory leaf pack at the rear of the spring, and the front (and obviously, where it bolts together). I don't remember the other trucks having the up to 1/2" gap between the leaves like this one. I wouldn't have said the truck "sagged" much in the front, I was going after making it sit level (and it does - the AAL's gave the 2" of height I expected, though the length of the truck makes the average person not even notice I did anything to it). Think the springs are going to break with the point contact only? The spring packs look pretty ugly, but like I said, the truck sits nice now.

I put Tuff Country add a leafs on the front of my 95 f250 and they were the same. Only touching front and rear.
The truck sets level now and doesn't eat the inside out of the tires anymore. It's been about 3 years with no trouble.

How is the ride after installing one of these? Is it noticeably rougher? Thought about installing one on my rear leafs Smile

I don't notice a difference in ride. My wife can't stand the way any solid axle one ton rides, but to me it's OK. I'd like to try a shackle reverse one day, to see if I can make it ride more like her old Excursion. The Rough Country 6120 (pretty sure that's the number) is great. I got mine for $70 from Auto Parts Warehouse with free shipping.
