They are a knockoff of the Auto-5 Browning, and quite a good shooting shotgun. My Dad bought one many years ago, and I should get it fixed up and shooting again. Very nice shotgun indeed. Cool

I didn't mean as such to imply that Remington stole an idea from JMB and produced it, only that it was a copy of the A-5 made by Rem under liscence of Browning. Wink

I love the old Browning A5s. Ive shot a couple old Remingtons and they were an apples to apples comparison.

I currently own my granddad and great granddads A5s....both from the 40s. I had my great granddads restored a couple years ago and plan to have my granddads done as well.
