hyper piston ring gap
I was reading a thread on ring gap for hypereutectic pistons and can't find it now. Can't remember if it was on this forum or the 'other' BBF forum. Bought a 468 to refresh w/KB 137 pistons and want to make sure of the ring gap. I believe .030 gap for the top ring was what was decided on. Pistons are flattop w/ one valve relief, .032 on hole and D3 heads.
Thanks

Re: hyper piston ring gap
Definatly check with KB, hypers, because the piston absorbs less heat something with the amount of silica in the material, push more heat into the ring. This coupled with a very "brittle" material means hypers require more ring gap in comparable bores than high performance forged, and way more than comparable builds with standard stock pieces.
