Need to replace the front springs on the Torino ( along with a total suspension rebuild ). Any suggestions?

Are you wanting to lower it, stiffen-up the ride or ?? I ask because I lowered my Ranchero by cutting and trying 3 different sets of front coils. I ended up with '98 F150 front coils installed after cutting 5/8 of a coil, the coils use .812" thick spring steel. Moog #6446, 9012 or 80090 (Crown Vic police interceptor replacement spring), are all possible candidates.

I should have asked what year your Torino is. '72-'76 models have a inner coil spring diameter of 4.03", that said you can go here http://www.moogproblemsolver.com/moog/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/MOOG_Coil_Springs_Spec.pdf , to find an appropriate spring. The chart was really useful when I was looking for an alternative coil spring, giving overall length, spring end identification, wire diameter and spring rates. As a reference, Moog #9012 replaces the coil spring in mid 70's Lincoln Mark IV's with 460/C6 & AC. I hope this helps. Todd

Yeah it's a 71 . The perches are worn out . No telling what else I'll find when I tear into it.

Have you found any roller perches that will work? They sound pretty slick. I have a feeling I'll have to dig into my front suspension soon. affraid

Yeah, a couple guys are selling them.. single and double roller. Open tracker is one of em .Cant remember the other. . If you disconnect the shock at the upper bracket and lift the front of the car you can see how the shock gets in a bad bind...both of my shocks were broken where it connects to the spring perch.. I'm not gonna run it until I get the good parts on it.

I had the aluminum QA1's on mine and broke the bottom on mine also. I put travel limiters on it for now until I get my AJE front end.
