Makes for great entertainment, but I'm sure the car didn't appreciate it. How much damage did it do? Was it set up to do that or were you surprised? And thanks MR. 66prostreetfairlane.

I call this the second dummest thing I've ever done....in my race car, anyways. It was 2008 Halloween classic in Boise ID. I think I had just lost first round three days in a row and said I can't race for shi-t so I might as well enter the wheel stand contest. Took the wheelie bars off, I knew it would wheel stand but I didn't think it would do what it did. The front end is a one of a kind fiberglass, so I didn't want it fall off and run over it. Went 225 feet and wouldn't come down, I had to drop it. A few years before this, before I had wheelie bars, I broke hood, scoop, grill, radiator and other stuff. This time ripped the back bumper off, broke a few header pipes and ground some front end brackets down some. I've had this car for 22 years now and done lost of wheelstands. Not like this though, I won't be taking the bars off anytime soon. I may raise them up some but not take them off lol. Just got runner last night at Portland International Raceway. We race 1/8 mile every Wed night. Ran 5.817 on 5.82 dial.

I remember seeing your car in the northwest ages ago. Was that Pinto ever blue in color?

There's a blue Pinto from the Portland area also. Mine has always been black. We have about the same motor. Mine is a little lighter and a little faster.
