Bumper - remove or not Empty Bumper - remove or not

Anyone here remove the rear bumper from their fox body? I'm making a list to put my car on a diet and I was wondering if it was a good idea or bad - backed up with actual results. It's supposed to be 50lbs with the mounts. The front is already butchered and lightened but it could use some more work.

My buddy just said the same thing about his 84 LOL...I will take it out before the next race in Sept. i was thinking about something like this to brace the front.

We just use 1/2" tubing for bumper supports. Home depot has some mild steel that size.

That is kinda what I was thinking of using too. Just something to hold the shape.

I'll take it out before the next race.Very Happy  I'm working on my sponsors F350 dually right now so I see a new set of tubular front lower control arms and a 2 step in my very near future...LOL
