Port nozzle location Empty Port nozzle location

On a single 4 open plenum race manifold, is there a secret location in the port for the nitrous nozzle?
The Trick Flow A460 manifold has nice cast bosses about 1" from the gasket flange. Is that a good place or should a separate boss be welded higher on the port leg? This is referring to an annular type nozzle.
Any input will be great.
Thanks,
Keith

Wish I could help you but I don't know anything about FI ... I think if I decide to run FI/ nitrous , I would prefer the port injection... scratch

itll hit harder the higher up its in the runner, but that said most single stage direct ports have the nozzels close to the runner exit.......I wouldnt fuss to much over it. Bosses should be plenty thick enough where the weld in bungs come into play is when the runner wall is real thin and the annulars need a fairly tall area for the nozzel tomthread into as the nozzel tip is not hanging into the port. 90 degree nozzels are a diff story.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking that the Trick Flow boss near the flange would be fine....but just had to ask.

Low like your talking is fine. We normally mill off that big chunk and add our bung in it's place. That factory cast area is very thick.. SJ
