Dave C I have asked that question to several different people and have never gotten a solid answer generally I got "just enough that it wont blow up", I did have one builder tell me that generally you want at least 10 psi per 100 horsepower to keep your bearings happy. Maybe someone much smarter than me can give us a better answer.

With good rods and block, and the clearance at the right spec, a heck of a lot less than we all run and with lighter oil.

I've always heard 10psi to every 1000 rpm.,but imo 70psi is enough at max rpm.
