Has anyone taken a Stealth and opened it up for a dommie flange? I had one several years ago that had a spacer welded in and the plenum divider built up. This was a great manifold that was done by a pro for sure and worked great, but I was wondering if the same or similar results could be obtained by just opening up the carb pad to dommie dimensions and redrilling the mounting holes? Would a Jomar Power Cone be beneficial also? This is for a class that requires dual plane manifolds, or we would just be using a Victor or Mafia.

this "class" requires a dual plane but you can use a 4500 carb? Laughing as long as the intake has enough flange it would be no problem to machine it out.IMO

That particular manifold NEEDS some welding around the carb flange to be opened that far. Easily done if it is legal.
"Blue Thunder" has a 2 plane manifold with a 4500 carb flange for a big block Ford..

I have had atleast a few small block single plane NASCAR manifolds redrilled for the dommi, with all the excess inside meat ground out around the flange, if the style of manifold is the only limiting factor of the rule book preventing the dommi I would say even if you have to weld on material to flange for the dommi to get the the air/fuel you need then run the ragged edge of the rule book and show them the flaw, and dominate! Easy out of the gate though you run too much HP for those bottom intakes, especially well fed. Twisted Evil

Schmitty, on ebay right now is a Shelby dual plane intake for a 4500 series carb. Pricy at 695.00 but no work needed. Not sure how it works though. Good luck!!

Never seen the Shelby intake, but realistically that's not bad considering what it costs to do a full boogie Victor.

I think that spacer is for a 4150 to 4500. I believe the EBAY wording is wrong.

You can build one for almost nothing. I used a piece of micarta or Phenolic material 1 inch thick. I just cut a square piece to fit the the dominator carb and drilled the holes to fit the dom. Then threaded the material for the carb studs then I attached the adapter to the manifold with counter sunk 10/32 allen head screws. Been on there for years now it even made more power on the dyno than the tapered carb adapter you can buy for very little money. But it exceeded the power by a good margin. The dyno operator was very suprised and he shook his head cause it sure didn't look that trick. Surprised I used this adapter on a weiand dual plane and now use it on my victor 4150 style manifold.
