I have a 78 f100
4000pds
466cid
C6 trans
stealth intake dual plane
Duration @ .050" Lift 240/246 584int 588ex
10.5 compression aluminum Eddy heads
3000-3500 stall converter
4.11 9'' rear 29'' tire 2WD
My question is im looking in to getting a new carb QF 850DP with Annular Boosters very expensive for a guy like me what I have now is a 750VAC holley the truck will see a lot of street time will one have trouble with a carb this big and a truck this heavy

It will run better with the 850, but I'm not sure it would be worth the extra expense.

If your exhaust isn't up to the task ( headers 3 inch with flow through muffles) the 850 may not be much improvement.

I would probably borrow a good 850 from a buddy to see if it picks up, before I bought one. I'm thinking with 1 3/4 primary's it wont show you much.
