IHRA world finals

I was watching the IHRA world finals in Tenn. yesterday and was looking at the top dragster finals and a BBF powered Digger from South Carolina was the runner up (red light) in the finals, does anyone know who has a BBF dragster in the so.Carolina area? is he a member here? we have a 2014 world champ from our local track this year (Immokalee raceway) a 17 year old kid driving a Jr. Dragster!

Shane Maddox was runner up in Top ET with the BBF dragster, his dad owns Maddox Racecars, another Florida guy Mike Ruff won S/R....second time in 3 years.

OK thanks, I know Mike Ruff, I use to race with him at Orlando Speedworld back in the early 2000's we chased points there for 4 years and raced with a lot of good racers, now I live 15 minutes from Immokalee so its going to be home track but I'm also going to run the points deal at Bradenton too, almost got my engine for the T-bird finished just need a few more things to button it up, got my heads back from the porting shop and they look pretty good, intake flows 355 with the stock valve and exhaust flows 260 so they should work pretty good on my little CI engine

Shane won the points at our local track Greer dragway He's a BAD MAN ( really good ) also Kevin Brandon from Greer won top dragster also a BAD MAN. Funny I rember when both were born ( man I'm old ) also another greer car runnered up in top sportsman Calvan Snow. All 3 cars are Maddox Racecars.

I use to live up in the carolinas and raced at shuffelltown, mooresville, shadyside, pageland, rockingham,and the house of hook but never made it to greer dragway but I know the race announcer use to be Larry Wright he use to announce at shuffelltown when it was open.

Larry's best known phrase Have'em in the water box and have'em ready. Can't tell you how many I've heard that. No ideal where he is now.

thats Larry for sure or how about "EASY NOW" he was the best announcer I've ever herd! I will try to dig up some old pics, I had a white 68 Chevelle with a BB and it ran 7.0's in the box class and 6.30's in the early 10.5 class it weighed 3885 with me in the seat
