F-150 headers with D0VE heads

Ok, since the engine didnt sell I went ahead and installed it into the truck, the problem is when I went to install the headers they hit the cross member before they lineup with the exhaust. My question is, is there a specific header for this as I bought a set for 83 F-350 because I was under the impression that they used the D3VE heads at that time, and they have the same exhaust flange as a D0VE, am I mistaken in this? The headers bolted right up to the motor on the stand, everything lined up perfectly, they just dont fit in the truck. Its a 95 F-150 and will be street driven with all accessories and a/c.

what are you using for motor mounts and towers?

The Ford towers and mounts from an F350, believe it was a 94 I pulled them off of at the local pic-n-pull.

What tranny cross member are you using? The one from the mid 90's is straight (at least the one that was on my inline 6/5spd manual) and the earlier ones have a drop in them. I can get you a picture tonight.

I will be modifying the straight trans cross member that came out of the truck.

Ok, has anyone done this swap and used headers with dove heads? I have searched and read, but I cant find anything.

Do you have any pictures of the headers, mounts we could look at and maybe get you an answer?

I put Hooker Super comp inside the frame headers on a 90 F250 with a 460 with Doves and they worked fine, but I was using the C6 cross member that had the drop in it.

I also have a 460 in a 95 F150 but am using Maddog out side the frame headers. You can check out that build thread here.

I am pretty sure I have the wrong ones, have a guy local who has an 82 F-250 with a set of hedman headers and they dont look anything like what I have, so, they are the wrong headers. Thanks for your help and responses guys.
